Tests are effective ways to measure and understand your child's progress in learning. We work with our teachers, parents, students, and district staff to use this information to improve learning experiences and help your child succeed. 27J Schools use a variety of assessments at different grade levels to determine your child's progress.

Why State Assessments Are Important

State assessments, including CMAS, PSAT, and SAT, serve several important purposes:

  • Skill Development: They help students practice standardized assessments, which are commonly used in many careers and higher education opportunities.
  • Graduation Demonstration: The SAT offers students an opportunity to demonstrate proficiency in key academic areas, which may be used to meet Colorado’s graduation requirements.
  • Insight into Progress: These assessments provide valuable feedback on your child’s progress and help us improve teaching and learning strategies to better meet student needs.
