Community Week 2024

Community Week 2024

Community Week is RRHS’ annual week of giving and service.

As a commUNITY, we identify a cause or social issue to bring awareness to and find support for. These causes can span the full run of issues in our community we see a need for; the unhoused, mental health, pet adoption, etc.

Once a cause is selected, the SLT will identify a local charity or organization to partner with for the week.

Through a survey in the fall, the students of RRHS identified

mental health awareness

as this year’s top cause to focus on for Community Week.

This year's local program is...

I Matter Colorado
Visit I Matter Colorado

Colorado House Bill 21-1258 established I Matter in 2021 to provide access to mental health and substance use disorder services for youth, and to address needs that may have resulted from the COVID-19 pandemic. I Matter is open to youth 18 years of age or younger, or 21 years of age or younger if receiving special education services.

In May 2023, the Colorado State Legislature renewed I Matter so it can provide free therapy for youth through June 30, 2024.

I Matter is managed by the Colorado Behavioral Health Administration. I Matter provides up to six free therapy sessions for youth in Colorado and reimburses participating licensed therapists.
