About RRTC
Founded in 2018 with the opening of Riverdale Ridge High School, the Riverdale Ridge Theatre Company provides students with high quality theatre experiences both onstage and off.
The Riverdale Ridge Theatre Company is an exciting opportunity for students to explore their creativity and develop their skills in acting, directing, and technical theatre. Through participation in productions, students learn teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. The program offers a range of classes and extracurricular activities, including rehearsals, workshops, and performances. Students who participate in a high school theatre program often develop a lifelong appreciation for the arts and gain valuable experience that can help them in future careers.
Participating in a high school theatre program can teach a variety of valuable skills. Firstly, students can learn to work collaboratively with others, as theatre often requires teamwork and cooperation between cast and crew members. Additionally, students can develop their public speaking and presentation skills, as well as their ability to think on their feet. Theatre can also help students to build confidence and self-esteem, as they are given the opportunity to perform in front of an audience. Finally, students can gain a deeper appreciation for the arts and the importance of storytelling and creative expression.
