Students
Riverdale Ridge Theatre Company productions are open to all interested Riverdale Ridge students.
With three mainstage productions and at least one student directed production a year, students have a wide variety of opportunities to participate. Mainstage productions typically include a small-cast summer production, a full-scall musical, and a full-scale play. Student-directed productions vary between the Student Directed One Act Festival and 24-Hour Play Project. Students are also encouraged to develop their own productions throughout the year.
Opportunities to participate are both performance-based and technical-based. Students frequently participate both onstage and offstage pending the production and their interests. Within productions, students can also support both areas of study.
Students do not need to be enrolled in theatre courses in order to participate in the after-school program and likewise, they do not need to be in the after-school program to take theatre courses.
As students continue to participate and develop their skills, they have the opportunity to join the theatre honor society, International Thespians, as part of Troupe 8780.
