About RRHS Sports Medicine Club

This program is designed to create an environment where students can observe and experience the field of Athletic Training and Sports Medicine. Student aides will gain knowledge of anatomy and physiology, relate injuries to the demand of the sport, assist with immediate care of injuries once proper skills are obtained, as well as observe and understand rehabilitation techniques while assisting athletes in basic rehabilitation exercises. Students will also assist with the application of therapeutic modalities, after an understanding knowledge of each method. Finally Athletic Training Student Aides will be expected to assist with general athletic training procedures during games and practices. The goal of this program is to prepare our student aides for future education and professional responsibility. 

If you are interested in joining the Sports Medicine Club, please download and read the Student handbook as well as the Parent Permission form. Bring this to Crystal, you may only participate in Club activities once you have turn in the Parent Permission form.

Athletic Training Room Hours: Monday-Friday at 1pm till the end of day.

Sports Medicine Club meets every Monday from 3pm-4pm in the Athletic Training room.
